Use your creativity to come up with 3 alternative names for this very exciting game!
Hit Dem Heads
Quarter Ball
Dodge Attack

Imagine another class here at HNI has not played this game before. Complete the rules below to clearly describe the aim of the game and exactly what the rules are.Aim of the game: To get all four balls into one square (quarter) but not yours and get the least amount of points.
Rules:
1. You must stay on your gluteus maximus the whole time
2. If you stand up on your knees or feet you have to sit out
3.  You have to stay in your quarter
4. Don’t cry when you get hit
5. You can’t roll the ball under the bleaches

Game Adaptations
Use your creative thinking to explore possible adaptations to this game to enhance both the fun factor and the ability to win the game. I have given you one example for each category but challenge yourself with other ideas and thinking.

Attack
Defence
Game Plan/Strategy
  • Use balls other than netballs that aren’t as heavy so the speed of the travelling ball also speeds up the game.
  • You can roll the ball underneath the bleaches.
  • 4 players from each quad are allowed to sit on the bleaches to stretch with their arms and intercept flying balls.
  • If you catch the ball in the full you can stand up and take an extreme shot. Maybe use soft balls if you are using this rule.
  • People on the perimeter of the quad pass the ball to someone closer to the bleaches to allow them to throw it further into the opponent's area.
  • Your team huddles in a circle and figures a quarter they want to gang up on.
