Reading Outside The Box Challenge
Second Chance
Tom was very excited to go on a family holiday. But when he finds out that his sister Delia is bringing a friend, his excitement starts to deflate. Tom’s family is going to Pine Tree Riviera. They finally got to Pine Tree Riviera and it was nothing like the photos. It was pouring down with rain for most of the days and they thought that the place they were staying in was just not acceptable. Tom’s Dad rang up the organisers and told them that the place they were staying in was just not acceptable and that they want to change to a different Villa. Finally, in the end, Tom and his family found out that they booked the old Pine Tree Riviera and they got moved to the new one. I rate Tom Gates Super Good Skills (nearly) a ⅘ because It was a good book and funny but in some parts it drags on. I recommend this book to children 8-11 Years of age.
Reading Outside The Box Challenge
Picture Book
Postman Pat was about to start off his day when a blue ball came bouncing over a wall and landed by a pillar-box. Postman pat picked it up and put it into his bag. He and his cat Jess were busy all day giving out letters and asking everyone if it is their blue ball. When Postman Pat had finished his day he shook his bag upside down and the blue ball rolled out. ‘If only they put and address on it’ Postman Pat says. He put the Blue ball, on the wall while he folded up his bag. Jess jumped up onto the wall and batted the ball with her paw. The ball bounced over the wall onto the field. Out came a shout from some kids they said ‘Hurray” and Postman Pat replied ‘ Next time put your address on it!’
I rate Postman Pat the blue ball a ⅗. Next time I would pick more of an older book as I would recommend it for little kids around 5-6 years of age.
